People are increasingly interested in becoming a physician, but are struggling to find the right job, according to a new survey.

In the latest Insights West survey, which was conducted by the insurance company Avalere Health, about a quarter of people said they had been unable to find a new job that matched their skills.

The study also found that the unemployment rate among people who have tried to find jobs for their career has climbed from 7.4% to 9.6% since March 2016.

“This is a time of uncertainty for many Americans,” Avalere’s executive vice president, Brian Mihalopoulos, said in a statement.

“We know that health care is a top priority for people and they are looking for a career that matches their skills.”

The survey was conducted in the days after President Donald Trump announced the U.S. would not accept new refugees into the country.

The White House later backed off that plan, and the president has since said the refugee program will remain in place.
